Hilda called last night and Mom spoke with her today. She is at home now and sounds good but has limited mobility and, sadly, the doctors have given her three to six months due to the spread of her cancer. Hilda means so much to all of us that I thought it would be nice if we could all either call her or send her cards to let her know we love her and that she is in our thoughts. She misses everyone here very much. Her vision is limited so, if you send a card, you may want to use a Sharpie to make your message big and bold so she can read it...or write her a note on your computer with bold, enlarged font and send that to her. As you probably know, they also sell cards now that allow you to record your message so that she can hear your voice, and a song, when she opens the card. Hilda sounded good & strong when we talked yesterday...She still has her sense of humor about the Paki"s and more importantly seems at peace with the outlook of her health.Since she donated all profit from her Guide Dog work to charity, they will honor herat her funeral (Hilda wants Guide Dogs present}.Tyey are coming to see her tomorrow to plan it. Hilda was well known in England for her training and care of Guide dogs. She raised Shelties, ( the Queen's dogs). Mom
