Camping at Pawtuckaway

We camped on Horse Island at Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham, NH last week with our grandsons, Robert and Brian. My son, Rob, and his son Takanori, were able to join us for two days and, since a site near ours was available, Joanne and Mark brought their t@b and joined the party for two days as well. The park is beautiful; it is in southeastern New Hampshire not too far from Joanne and Mark's home in Londonderry. The sites on Horse Island, where we were, are right on the lake and each have a canoe launch on site. We lucked out and got warm, sunny weather...a rarity this summer. Thought I'd share a few photos:

Our grandson, Robert, really mastered camp cooking...Taka dug right in to his "camp pancakes".
Taka loved being with the "boys group" as he called it...here he is watching Brian bait his hook.

Taka really liked canoeing with his Dad. He also spent time swimming,
exploring and feeding the ducks.
Robert and Brian spent hours canoeing around the lake.

Mark isn't really into fishing but Hank got him to try it...here's the whopper he caught! (Yes, he threw it back...it needs to grow a bit).

Taka loved feeding the ducks that came to our site. Here is how he did it: one peanut for the ducks, one peanut for Taka, one peanut for the ducks, one peanut for Taka...

Rob and Taka...

Joanne and Mark with their t@b...early in the morning...still in PJ's.

Hank, Robert, Brian, Joanne and Mark on our last day at camp.
On Tuesday, August 4th, Nancy and I are heading to Pawtuckaway in the t@b for our annual "Sisters Road Trip". We plan to spend a much quieter three days just relaxing and reading, hopefully with the sun on our faces and our toes in the water.
